Milton Country Club Tennis features four hard lighted tennis courts. Whether picking up a racket for the first time or a seasoned veteran at the sport, Milton Country Club has many opportunities for members to develop their tennis game. We offer private and group instruction, individual and team competitions, league play, and special events.
The tennis program originally began with 49 players and has now surpassed 200 participants. Our Head Tennis Professional, Terre O’Brien, has been coaching players at the High School and College level for over 25 years and makes sure the tennis program has something for everyone.
Milton Country Club features ALTA Teams: Women’s A, B, and C, Men’s A & B, and both Senior Men’s and Women’s. The club offers different levels of USTA teams as well as T-2 and K-Swiss leagues for those who like to arrange their own match times
Tennis Director and Head Pro at Milton Country Club, Terre O’Brien has been teaching tennis at the club for the past 21 years. Originally from Chicago, IL; Terre has lived in Atlanta area for 32 years.
Terre played professional tennis on the U.S. Circuit and the European Circuit and trained under renowned Coach Pancho Segura.
In 1994, he began teaching as an Independent Pro at Cherokee Town Club, Druid Hills Country Club, and Rivermont Country Club before coming Milton Country Club in 1997.
As Head Tennis Professional, he has lead 81 ALTA and USTA teams to Division Titles. Terre has coached 30 ALTA City Champions, 11 USTA City Champions, 3 USTA State Champions and 3 USTA Regional Champions as well as over 200 of his students have gone on to play High School and/or College Tennis. In 2016, Terre was voted top 10 Junior Coaches of the year by the Atlanta Youth Tennis and Education. He still plays competitively and lives in the Milton area.
